Community Services Directory
Tamworth Regional Council is pleased to announce the launch of the first Regional Community Services Directory, reflecting the regional nature of Council.
Over 1000 community groups and organisations from Barraba to Nundle and all places in between were contacted by mail to update details for the new directory. Council staff have collated this information as well as liaising with staff in Council branch offices to utilise local knowledge where necessary to produce a directory which lists as much about the regional community as possible.
Mayor, Cr James Treloar is pleased with the results from the first mailout. “We had about a 60% return rate for the new directory, which is a good start. We are aware that there are probably some groups in the community who may not be listed in the new Directory,” he said. “For any organisation which is not listed in the first publication, it is possible to be included in future editions. Simply complete a Directory Update form and send it to Council. The Directory will be updated on a quarterly basis based on information supplied to Council from groups as well as an annual mailout to confirm details of all organisations listed in the directory.”
The first Tamworth Regional Council Community Services Directory is available from all Customer Service offices (Phone: (02) 6755 4555) or download. A Directory Update form is included at the back of the Directory, to be used to advise Council of changes as they occur. The form is also available from Customer Service offices.
